Happy October!

Happy October, friends! Definitely one of my favourite months. And without a question, Fall is my most favourite season. Beautiful colourful leaves, cozy sweaters, and everrrrrything pumpkin! 😀

I’ve had some fun decor out since mid September and it feels all homey in here (I mean, is there really enough time to enjoy Fall decor before Christmas stuff comes out otherwise?!). The leaves are just starting to get some colour in them and the temperatures have been dropping to the most comfortable degree.

We had our first family outing to a local orchard yesterday and Levi had so much fun.  It’s his first Fall (cannot BELIEVE he’s going to be ONE in November! 😦 ) It was great to take him on the hay ride, and see the pumpkin patch – he was smiling from ear to ear! ❤

We got a bag of delicious honeycrisp apples and I’m looking forward to baking with them and making some homemade applesauce for Levi!

Tonight I’m going to be making some pumpkin cookies with cinnamon frosting – I tell ya, all the best eats are in the Fall 😀 ! I’ll be sure to share the recipes. 😉

In the meantime, be sure to check out some of my past Fall posts! DIY wine cork pumpkin, and fall treats! ❤

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. What’s your favourite thing about this time of year?

Fall Harvest

Hello October

Ahhh, yes –  it’s my most FAVOURITE time of year…FALL! I’ve been walking on the gorgeous trail we have here on the base, and the trees are in their colourful, Autumn glory! My sister was up to stay with us a couple weeks ago, and everything was very much Fall-like then too. There’s just something so wonderful about this time of year…getting cozy in a warm blanket with a good book and a hot cup of tea is honestly one of my favourite things! 🙂 Tonight, I am going to make a trip to the nearest city (it’s about a 25 minute drive) with a couple of my new friends (I met them on the military base) to go to a craft store and purchase some yarn. Along with blogging, I hope to learn to knit this season. I’ve been having a bit of a difficult time finding work since moving here, and I am needing some new hobbies to keep me busy. I think it’s best to challenge ourselves, to learn new things and I do have a loooong list of hobbies, so I might as well get crackin’! 😀
